We will be following the guidelines of health and safety authorities to keep our clients and staff safe.
• All students are required to bring face mask or facial covering. For those who do not bring a mask, one will be offered one at a nominal cost.
• Wash/sanitize your hands throughout the day. Sanitizer will be available at all training facilities.
• If you are not feeling well, please stay at home. If you are unable to attend for this reason, you will be re-scheduled for a future class at no cost or penalty.
• Students will be sitting apart from other participants using appropriate social distancing guidelines.
•To ensure employees and students maintain distance, we will be placing decals/tape on the floor to direct traffic flow and limit the number of students in a classroom at a time.
• Individual students will be assigned workstations with the required supplies that will not be shared with other students during the class.
• Hands on activities have been modified to help further reduce risk.
In addition, our employees are taking the following precautions:
• Employees will sanitize and disinfect shared surfaces and training equipment.
• All desks and chairs will be sanitized before each class, with commercially available disinfectant. Frequently touched surfaces will be disinfected throughout the day.
• All doors where possible, will be propped open to avoid excess contact with door handles.
• Instructors will wear gloves anytime they are distributing or collecting paperwork or supplies.

Mental Health and Wellness in the Workplace | Mental Health and Wellness in the Workplace course is a one-day, in-class or virtual, instructor-led course. Training provides participants with the skills to confidently support a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis until appropriate support is found or the crisis is resolved. |

Children and Youth Training Programs | Home Alone – (1 day) A one-day program designed for children 10 years of age and older to help prepare them stay safe in times where they may find themselves alone for short periods of time. Home Alone Safety First Aid Babysitting Basics – (1 day) A course created for the 11-14 year old age group designed to teach skills necessary for babysitting. Emergency First Aid with CPR C & AED – Older teens looking for First Aid skills may consider certification, and attend our public courses. |
New Parent Workshop | This 3.5 hour non-certificate workshop is structured to teach essential emergency skills to new parents, grandparents and siblings over 14 years old. The training is focused on accident and injury prevention, first aid, choking and CPR techniques used on newborns, infants and young children. |

This 40 hour course provides new instructors with the skills to present, demonstrate, coach and evaluate students while delivering our First Aid program curriculum. St. John Ambulance Standard First Aid with HCP level CPR certification and skills testing are a pre-requisite for application.
