First Aid and CPR Courses
Emergency LevelEmergency First Aid programs provide classroom instruction time of at least 6.5 hours, normally in a one day format. Certification meets the requirements in the Canada Labour Code, and WSIB standards for workplaces in the province of Ontario with 1 - 5 Employees. Emergency First Aid is Available with Level A or C CPR

Standard LevelStandard First Aid programs provide at least 13 hours of instruction time, normally delivered in a 2 day format. Certification meets the Canada Labour code and WSIB Standards for workplaces in the province of Ontario with more than 5 Employees. Standard First Aid is Available with all three levels of CPR.

Medical First Responder LevelAdvanced First Aid training for first responders and workers in remote areas. Pre-requisite Standard with C or HCP CPR. This 40 hour training program builds upon the skills in Standard First Aid with more advanced training. Ideal for students considering an emergency response career .

Mental Health First Aid This 2 Day Mental Health First Aid - Basic course is delivered by Mental Health Commission of Canada instructors. Training provides participants with the skills to confidently support a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis until appropriate support is found or the crisis is resolved.

Specialty Training programs - Beyond First Aid
Children and Youth Training Programs Home Alone - (1 day) A course created for the 9 and 10 year old age group who may occasionally be left alone for short periods of time - designed to teach skills necessary for staying safe
Youth Courses - Home Alone
Baby Sitting Basics - (1 day) A course created for the 11-14 year old age group designed to teach skills necessary for babysitting.

Emergency First Aid with CPR C & AED - Older teens looking for First Aid skills may consider certification, and attend our public courses. Dates are found at Emergency First Aid with Level C CPR & AED
New Parent WorkshopThis 3.5 hour non-certificate workshop is structured to teach essential emergency skills to new parents, grandparents and siblings over 14 years old. The training is focused on accident and injury prevention, first aid, choking and CPR techniques used on newborns, infants and young children. New Parent Workshop
Child Restraint Technician Child Restraint Technician Certification Training (Car Seat Safety Educator Training). This 2 day course is designed for anyone interested in helping others to learn to secure their children safely in motor vehicles. Whether for business or community volunteer reasons, this program offers you a truly rewarding opportunity to make a difference in child safety.
Car Seat technician training and re-certification courses
Instructor Training Courses Instructor Development Program Course (Participants must apply for acceptance into these programs). This 40 hour course provides new instructors with the skills to present, demonstrate, coach and evaluate students while delivering our First Aid program curriculum. St. John Ambulance Standard First Aid with HCP level CPR certification and skills testing are a pre-requisite for application.
